Let's get started and ask Cara a few questions; I really want you all to get to know her!
DEBORAH: When did you realize you loved to read?
I've always loved
to read ever since I was a little girl. It’s just something I have grown up
loving.
DEBORAH: That's how it was for me with writing..did it, loved it since I was a little girl! So,do you remember the first book you really
loved?
I loved all the babysitter club books when I was younger.
DEBORAH: How many books a week do you read?
If I am not in school about 4-5, but when I am back at school and work
probably about 2.
DEBORAH: That's really wonderful to be a young lady devoted to school and yet still find time for reading! What's your favorite genre Cara?
It’s funny really; I have gotten really into Fantasy the last couple
of years. I would have never thought I would get into that genre.
DEBORAH: It's a very popular genre! How do you feel about Indie authors?
I love reading authors no one has heard much from, because then I can
go tell all my friends about the new amazing writer I have just
read.
DEBORAH:OOh I love that! That means you can tell all your friends about me! LOL. Do you prefer to read ebooks or
paperback?
Both; I love how easy it is to transport a Nook rather than a book, and
ebooks sure have made it easier for authors. At the same time, I love the smell
of new books, going into a book store, and actually picking out the
book.
DEBORAH:Glad to hear that cause like most authors, I am availablr in both formats. You have to tell us, what book are you currently reading?
At the moment, I am reading Revamp by Beck Sherman and finished and reviewed The Ascent of the Undeparted by Deborah Palumbo.
DEBORAH: OOh that's my book! I always get so excited, like a kid, when someone is reading or has read my books. So, besides yours truly, (did I say that) have you discovered any good Indie
authors?
I really like Abigail Owen (Blue Violet), John Emil Augustine (Love
Seen From Hell), and Beck Sherman (Revamp).
Well Cara, I'm going to let you get back to your schoolwork and reading, and look forward to keeping in touch! I luv ya, appreciate ya, and am glad we're friends!
Great interview guys. I am with you, I love both formats. But nothing compares to the smell of a new book. But ebooks are so convenient. Babysitter clubs?!!! Oh my God! I use to love those books and the tv show and the movie. I was a hardcore fan. I even tried writing my own episode once on my mom's old typewriter LOL! Awesome interview again, thank you so much :D
